The Amanda Canfield Wisdom Sampler

Amanda Canfield stopped stitching before she finished her sampler, but not before she completed most of it, including her charming bold attempt at the first word of her verse. "Wisdom". Unfortunately, not heeding her own thought, she did not have the wisdom to plan ahead and needed to reduce the "M" to fit on the line. Her simple geometric border was also unfinished, and she did not give us her age or date, though it is probably mid 19th century.
