Strelitzia, The Bird of Paradise Flower, GP-259
Strelitzia reginae, the scientific name for the Bird of Paradise, is an ornamental plant that has two erect, pointed petals and five stamens. It has one main bract, shaped like a boat, and is green with red borders. It holds many long-stemmed, orange and bright-blue flowers. The Bird of Paradise bears an unmistakable resemblance to a brightly colored bird in flight and is also often referred to as the crane flower.
Strelitzia is the second release in the new Floral Mandala Collection from Glendon Place. I am very excited about this new collection and look forward to creating more colorful design interpretations of the world’s most beautiful flowers.
