Description

Convolvulaceae (the Morning Glory Mandala)

Convolvulaceae, known commonly as the bindweed or morning glory family, consists of roughly 60 genera (or types within the family). Within those 60 types, there are more than 1,650 different species, most being herbaceous vines.

The traditional morning glory is the most well-known and popular type within this family. Convolvulaceae can be recognized by their funnel-shaped flowers. The stems of these plants are usually winding, which is where their name derives from; “convolvere”, which is Latin for “to wind”.

Model: stitched on 28ct Petals Cashel Linen by Picture This Plus

Stitch Count: 198w X 199h

Floss required: Due to the number of Dinky-Dyes Silk Floss colors required for this design, Cheryl has provided Sullivans/DMC/and Anchor comparable colors to make stitching this design more affordable. However, it is very important to keep in mind that Dinky-Dyes Silks are variegated in color, some more than others. Although color comparables are provided in other floss lines (Sullivans/DMC/and Anchor), these are “best match” alternatives.
